CHRISTMAS SONG INSPIRED

Well friends it has been a while but have been busy filming a new TV drama as my role as a background artist and then trying to get ready for this festive season.This brings us to this week's
One Stop Craft Challenge and this week it is Christmas Song Inspired theme and I picked the song Let It Snow.
 
The snowman image I have used for my card is from this week's sponsor "Praire Fairy"and all I have done is to highlight certain areas with some blue glitter and added a star and a few snowflakes. Hope you get a chance to pop over and join us in this week's challenge,

OSCC FOR THE BOYS

Good morning and what a cold morning it is so much that I am sitting here posting on my blog with a blanket round my shoulders it is that cold.

 
Today's one stop craft challenge is "Christmas for the boys" and hope you can join us this week.Our sponsor for this challenge is
 
For my card I have used this cute image from Bugaboo Digi Stamps and coloured using Promarker pens then glittered the white stripes on the candy cane.

 
Being such a cute image I wanted to keep this card fairly simple with a couple of tiny bows added and then the sentiment using Waltzingmouse stamps "Compact Family".

VINTAGE CHRISTMAS AT OSCC


Good morning everyone and a Vintage Christmas challenge over at one stop craft challenge today.
My card for this challenge was to try and  keep to traditional colours such as red and gold.The centre image and sentiment was stamped using Hot of the Press stamp set - Christmas stamps and then I added some flat backed pearls to the design and finished off with a small tartan bow.
The background was red card die cut using Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles and then mounting this onto gold card.

OSCC - ANYTHING GOES


Good morning and it is time for another one stop craft challenge and this week anything goes and the sponsor is sadly for the last time one stop card crafts who are closing down and are offering 50% off everything so why not pop along for a bargin.
This week's prize is a stamp from Do Crafts perfect for the winter season.

 
 
My card is very much based on the season at the moment and keeping the colours to creams and browns.The tree is stamped using Indigoblu "Lollipop Tree" onto cream card then I added a mount around this which I covered with gold coloured flakes. The die cut leaves again from cream card using Cheery Lynn "Flourish Leaf Strip" and then added a couple of metal embellishments to finish the card off.

OSCC 203 - COLOUR CHALLENGE


Welcome to another one stop craft challenge and this week is a colour challenge with a fireworks theme. This week's sponsor is Crimson Cloud who have three packs of die cuts for the lucky winner.
 
For my card I cut out an oval from the front and framed this with die cut swirls using Spellbinders "Venetian Motifs" and coloured glitter card and then on the inside of the card showing through the apeture a sentiment stamped using Inkadinkado "Everyday Expressions".With Sakura Gelly Roll pens added a speckled effect around the sentiment matching the colours of the glitter swirls.
The weather is wet and windy here but if you are having your bonfires tonight hope you all have a good Guy Fawkes night and take care of yourselves.

HALLOWEEN WITCH


Well hope you are all having a good Halloween but the weather is not ideal for trick or treating tonight being so wet and windy.
 
Today's offering is a Halloween door hanger and the digi image is Peekaboo Bugg from Tiddly Inks which I coloured in with promarkers.

Behind the image is spider web net with purple glitter for spider webs although not very clear in the picture and some red beads as spooky eyes.
The lettering was cut out of green fun foam, mounted onto black card then all joined together with orange ribbon.

WARM WINTER DAYS




What a change in the weather from yesterday dull and wet so a morning crafting I think before tackling the pile of ironing waiting for me.Today a very girlie Christmas card using a favourite Lilly of the Valley stamp "Jenny Bear-Gifts Galore" which I stamped in blue ink then coloured with promarkers.
 
 
The sentiment is a stamp I have had for a while but do not know where from and to finish off this and the picture added some highlights using Wow embossing powder "Sparkling Snow Glitter".
I have used a few Spellbinders dies in this project which are as follows - Classic Ovals Large - Grand Decorative Ovals One - A2 Fancy Weave - Create a Flake Four - 2012 Snowflake Pendant.
 
Will enter into the following challenges:

ONE STOP CRAFT CHALLENGE 202


Good morning everybody and what a cold morning but there is not a cloud in the sky perfect for a nice walk later on today.Over at one stop craft challenge this week the theme is Halloween and our sponsor for the week is kenny k downloads who gave us some images to play with and the one I chose is called " All That". If you are looking for something different, young and covering all sorts of sports and occasions why not visit their website.
 

Being Halloween I kept the colours to mainly browns and orange of course and designed a halloween party inviite.The papers are Scrapworks Canvas Collection "Citrus Stripe" and the party sentiment was stamped using Inkadinkado "Everyday Expressions". For spooky this was done freehand with glue on some orange fun foam then glittered with bronze glitter.The image was coloured with Promarkers and found this a fun image for colouring.

A OSCC DESIGN TEAM MEMBER




Well I have a bit of news to share with you and which is being invited onto the design team over at one stop craft challenge and I have to say I was so excited to get started on my first project.
The challenge this week is " Anything Goes "and our sponsor is "doodle pantry "digital doodles which has some very cute animals and for my card I have used "Caroling Friends" and coloured this in with Promarkers.For the fur trims on their hats and scarfs I used iridescent glitter and the sentiment was stamped using a Hot off the Press stamp "Merry Christmas".
 
 
 

Once again I have  to thank Shelley for my very first Design Team invite and look forward to seeing all your creations for this week's challenge.

FOR YOU



Today I want to share with you a card that I have created using on of the new Spellbinders Die D-Lites "Poppy Patch" which I have cut out from fun foam and then mounted onto some acetate.
 
 
Cut out an apeture on the front of a card using Spellbinders "Octagons" then positioned the acetate with image behind securing with tape and behind that a piece of cream spider web net.
 
 
The sentiment was stamped onto some wooden sticks using Papermania Urban Stamp "Type Print"and then I added to cute little bumble bees.

LITTLE SISTER


Mixing two challenges today by taking the sketch from waltzingmouse sketch challenge116 and the colour from cr84fncolor challenge63 which is blues and browns a colour combo I love.
 
 
After putting a checked paper border I covered the cream card with cream spider web netting which is not very clear in the photographs but you can see it in the closeup photo.

 
Using the new Spellbinders dies Resplendent Rectangles for the central framing and also for the tabs at the side I stamped some sentiments with WMS Compact Family in vintage sepia Versafine ink.

 
One of the flowers are of cream lace while the others were created using Crealies die set Creative Flowers CL CF 21 and then added some flat backed beads in the centres.The foliage is using Cheery Lynn Flourish Leaf Strip and the patterened papers are by Scrapworks Papers Canvas Collection.

FOR YOU AT CHRISTMAS


Hello friends and here we are with another christmas card design using traditional red and green with lots of glitter as well.
 
 
For the wrapping paper I stamped this using WMS "Very Vintage Christmas"and then glittered the edges of the leaves and the same design for the tag as well.

 
I then added red ribbon, red bakers twine and red dew drop embellishments to finish this card off.

I will also be entering this into the challenge at 52christmas card throwdown for their Theme Challenge 9 "Gifts of the Season"

BIRTHDAY WISHES FOR WMSC114


This card today is using the sketch over at waltzingmouse sketch challenge.blogspot and a colour combo that I have used in the past pinks and teal.
 
 
I made use of a new set of stamps that I purchased recently which is  the "Teeny Trees" set from Waltzingmouse and with so many stamps in one set this is very good value.I also used some new Spellbinder die sets Foliage Two - Jewel Flowers and Flourishes - Grand Decorative Circles One - Back to Basics Tags.

FRIENDS ALWAYS

 
Today's post is a bit later today as the weather being so good at the moment I had to try and get on with a few jobs in the garden.
 
 
For my card I have used the sketch over at waltzingmouse sketch challenge.blogspot.co.uk and kept to three main colours blue, black and cream.

 
The flower was created using Spellbinder dies "Aster Flower Topper" and "Bitty Blossoms" cut out in felt for the centre.Other dies used were "Creative Page Tags", "Back to Basic Tags" and "Labels Four". The sentiment was WMS "Teeny Trees"and other embellishments are fine wire mesh, metallic ink marker, twine and gems.

THINKING OF YOU

Today a card with the colours taken from the challenge over at Colour Throwdown.The colours suggested are Melon Mambo, Barely Banana, Peach Parfait and Gable Green.
 
 
For the flowers I die cut them using Tim Holtz Alterations "Tattered Flower Garland" strip, the sentiment was stamped using Inkadinkado's "Everyday Expressions" and flat backed pearls finished off the centres of the flowers and the butterfly.

FROM YOUR FRIEND


Yesterday I went to the Creative Crafts Show in Manchester and bought some new dies which I just had to try out on thid card.The flower was created using a die set from Kreaxions in the netherlands and I spotted it on one of the displays at the show and just love the look of it when inked at the edges.
 


 

The sketch for this is over at waltzingmouse sketch challenge.blogspot. and the colours are taken from the challenge over at just-add-ink.blogspot.
 
 
 
The sentiment was stamped using WMStamps - Pic-nic Patterns and Compact Family.

MEMORY LIVES FOREVER


Hello again and thanks for dropping by. There is a lovely sketch challenge over at just-add-ink.blogspot. and used this for today's card.
 
 
The bottom of the card was created using Spellbinders Edgeabilities along with some bakers twine and ribbon.The flower is cut from some fun foam (I do love fun foam)and finished off with a little glitter.

 
The sentiment is from Fiskars "Good Times Quotes" and then cut using Spellbinders Deckled Rectangles.

I have now got to go and give my craft room a good clearout as I have been putting it off for far too long so hope to see you all again very soon.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU



Good morning friends and no I have not lost the plot by wishing you a Merry Christmas although saying that my local card shop has ,would you believe it, their Christmas cards in stock now.For us card makers this is the time for us to get making our cards in time for the festive season and today's card is making the most of the beautiful Spellbinder die "2012 Christmas Tree" which I cut out of some bright green fun foam and then added some bling.
 
 
For the sentiment I used Waltzingmouse stamp set "Very Vintage Christmas"stamped in black and again added some more bling.

 
The colours were influenced by the challenge over at the playdate cafe.blogspot. where I shall be entering this card.

 
Postman has just delivered some new dies that I had ordered last week so off now to try them out so enjoy the rest of your day and hope you drop by again soon.
