OSCC 221 - A RECIPE

Hello on this snowy, windy and very cold morning and hard to believe that Easter is next weekend.Anyway good excuse to stay indoors and do some crafting so why not join us at one stop craft challenge this week which is a recipe:

1 IMAGE
2 EMBELLISHMENTS
3 DESIGNER PAPERS

Our sponsor for this week is the wonderful crafts and me who gave us some beautiful images to play with and I went with this lovely fairy image.I decided this was going to have a lot of embellishments so kept to mainly different shades of blue with white and silver as well. This had started off as a card design but I think I will find a suitable frame for it and make it into a picture for my craft room.

IMAGE - from our wonderful sponsor
EMBELLISHMENTS - Heartfelt Creations dies "Layered Scalloped Posy", Cheery Lynn "Flourish Leaf Strip" and "Fanciful Flourish"
DESIGNER PAPERS - "Papermania Capsule Collection"
also used for this project
Spellbinders - Grand Rectangles, Resplendent Rectangles and Timeless Rectangles
Waltzingmouse stamps - Compact Family

Off now to do some more crafting so take care friends until the next time

THANKS FOR A COLOUR THROWDOWN

Today a card of "thanks" with colours taken from this week's challenge over at color throwdown 234. I had just purchased a new Cheery Lynn die Fanciful Flourish where I have used the part left after cutting out the die and using it as a stencil which I inked through using Adirondack Brights "Hazelnut" to give a lovely soft flourish and then inked over the leaves with Brilliance Archival ink "Peacock" and Waltzingmouse stamp set "Teeny Trees".

For the tiny flowers these were cut from red card using Heartfelt Creations dies "Layered Scalloped Posy"and finished off with a black gem. This was layered onto another piece of card embossed using Spellbinder's M-Bossabilities ES-001and inked using again the Peacock. A sentiment (Waltzingmouse "Say it Loud") and a trim with ribbon to complete the card.

Loved this colour combo and think it works well for this card.
Take care friends.

ANYTHING GOES AT OSCC

Good morning and here we are again for another super challenge and " Anything Goes" at one stop craft challenge. Our wonderful sponsor this week is doctor-digi house of stamps and I got to play with the digi image called "Dunderton Academicals FC" which did make me smile and had no problem on picking the sentiment to go with this which is fron Fiskars clear stamps "Make a Wish Quotes".

With the image and sentiment in place  I did not want to add too much more with regards to embellishments and being for a gentleman of a certain age thought I would keep it clean looking.

If you have time do pop along and visit our sponsor who has a collection of weird  and wonderful odd balls and fantastically freaky weirdos.

Take care friends until the next time

SPRING

Spring is in the air well at least I hope that it is not too far away as we got a taste of spring here at the beginning of the week and it was so nice to get back out into the garden.
And so onto challenge 219 over at one stop craft challenge and guess what the theme is this week SPRING so lots of spring colours and themes.
Our wonderful sponsor this week is
which are cute, quirky and fun illustrations used for card making and paper crafts created by illustrator Heidi Schwoerer and for my card I used Little Turtle. It is not a typical spring image but could not resist this charming little turtle.

The card layers were cut using Spellbinders" Scalloped Edge Frame" and "Grand Rectangles" and for the foam and felt flowers "Bitty Blossoms". Kepping the sentiment simple "Hello" meant that I could use this card for several different occasions.
Hope you get the chance to pop along to our challenge where the winner will receive 3 digital stamps from our sponsor.
