A DIAMOND QUEEN

Today is the start of a long weekend for us in the UK as we celebrate the Queen's Jubilee and this morning I put up the bunting in preparation for the celebrations.

I was one of the lucky ones to get an invite to a party at Buckingham Palace to celebrate her Golden Jubilee in 2002 and I took my daughter with me .We were taken through the palace and out to the gardens at the back where we enjoyed a picnic on the lawn before watching the concert later in the evening and we had the most fantastic time and something we will always remember as the day we were invited to Buckingham Palace.

My card is titled for a diamond Queen which she is and I will post it on to the Queen later although I am sure she will have been sent thousands of cards for the occasion.

This card I have entered into a challenge over at
less is more 70 - red, white and blue.
The stamp is from Indigoblu which I stamped in "Color Box" cerulean and "Hobbycraft" xmas red.
I added a red ribbon around the card placing it through the centre of the flag and added a sentiment at the boottom with a clear gem over the i in diamond.
I would like to send my best wishes to the Queen and hope she enjoys her weekend.
Take care everyone and lets hope it stays dry for this Bank Holiday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Today a card for the challenge over at Waltzigmouse.

The colours were came about from an Archival Brilliance ink pads in Peacock, Lavender and Sky Blue which are brighter than I would normally used but I had bought these little blue metallic flower embellishments which I wanted to use for this card so I think the colours all comes together quite well.

The background was stamped using Waltzingmouse stamps as well as the tag and Spellbinders Edgebilities, Rectangles and Eyelet Circles.
Hope everyone is enjoying this glorious weather and fingers crossed it stays fine for this Bank Holiday weekend.
