LOVE YOU

Been a while but I am back with another card inspired by justrite-Friday colour challenge using pink, yellow and purple which are lovely summery colours.

For the background I used Justrite "Floral Stitched Background" and the flower embellishment is from Justrite "Applique Flowers and Vintage Sentiment Tags".

To add the glitter to the petals I used a Quickie Glue Pen which is brilliant for adding little details like that. To finish off a strip of yellow ribbon and a few flat backed pearls.

Take care friends and hope to be back very soon.

BEHIND THE MASK AGAIN

Yes back again with another card for the Justrite Friday Challenge which I have enjoyed so much and will certainly be doing a lot more of this masking technique for future projects.

For my Easter card as before the stamped flowers are from Justrites stamp set "Stitched Flowers Vintage Tags" and coloured using Promarkers Mustard, Yellow, Buttercup and Mint Green and the green frame is their die set "Lacey Tiers".

Once again thanks for stopping by .

BEHIND THE MASK

Today a card for a challenge over at Justrite Friday Challenge and where you use a masking technique. The stamp set I used was one of their new sets "Stitched Flowers Vintage Tags"which I found ideal for this challenge as the images were easy to cutout as masks.

I stamped the bottom flower first then masked before adding the leaves, masked the leaves then added the frame and finally masked the frame before added the final flower. This is a way of layering your stamped images without adding bulk and allowing for cheaper postage.

Image coloured with Promarkers in Mint Green, Antique Pink, Rose Pink and Baby Pink and the mounted onto a card using Spellbinders "Fanciful Lattice".

Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks for popping by.

CARNIVAL TIME

Believe it or not the sun is trying to shine through the clouds today and looking in my garden I have some daffodils making an appearance letting us know that Spring is on its  way.

Today carnival is this weeks theme over at casology and a chance for me to use my new sets from Clarity Stamps.

The two sets used for this card are Word-Chain-3 and Journaling-Clear-Stamp-Set and the inks used were Dew Drop stamp pads in Lavender and Spring Pansy.

The carnival mask is from Spellbinders Venetian Accents and to finish off I added some flat backed gems. This was a quick card to put together and also cut the sides of the card at angles to add a bit more interest.

Thanks again for stopping by and enjoy what is left of your weekend.

HOME SWEET HOME

It has been a while but I am back and wondering where January went but still it means we are getting closer to my favourite time of the year Spring.
Today I am trying out my new Spellbinder dies for a welcome to your new house card and taking the colour inspiration from colourq 226 with lovely shades of pink.

The Spellbinders dies are die d-lites "Flutter Tree" and "Home Sweet Home" which I think are going to be two of my favourite dies and in particular the Flutter Tree which comes with those tiny butterflies that can be used with the tree or on there own.

A short post today but back soon so enjoy the rest of your day and take care.

AUTUMN IS HERE

Well it has been a while and cannot believe that we are nearly at the end of October and yesterday Tesco had the usual orange pumpkins in store ready for Halloween. A few years ago we went on holiday to San Fransico at this time of year and came across a pumkin patch where you pick up a wheel barrow and fill it with the most amazing collection of pumkins you could image as over there they really do go all out to celebrate this time of year.

Now onto a card which is inspired the season and also the challenge over at friday mashup where you have to include trees or leaves and or the colour orange or everything together.

This stamped tree is the Lollipop Tree stamp from IndigoBlu and then framed with gilding flakes.
Around the edge sprigs of leaves using Cheery Lynn die Flourish Leaf Strip and a couple of metal embellishments and then a sentiment to complete the card.

The weather is wet and horrible so a good excuse to carry on doing more crafting this afternoon before settling down tonight to watch the final of The Great British Bake Off on BBC2 can't wait although I do have a favourite.

Take care and do check in again soon

YOU ARE IN OUR THOUGHTS

What a miserable day wet, windy and very cold I think the central heating will have to go on even though I try to hold on until October because as soon as I turn it on the weather usually warms up again.
I may have mentioned before but I work now and then as a TV extra and yesterday I was on the set for a funeral service which weirdly ties in with my sympathy card today.

For this I used my newly purchased spellbinders delicate-doilies which I love and from Kaisercraft stamp sets "Get Well" and "Blae and Ivy" with the sentiment being stamped on a strip of white baking parchment. For the finishing touch a few purple flat-backed pearls.

I will be entering this into the challenge over at friday mashup which is no 127.
Thanks again for looking in and comments are always welcome so take care for now.

HEY HOW ARE YOU

Here again with a rather late in the day post and trying to do a bit of catch up before a busy weekend and so for today a card for  the 205 challenge at colour Q.

I used a matching stamp and die set , that I had not used before, from Marianne Collectables COL1304 and coloured with Promarkers then once dried covered with Inkssentials Glossy Accents

The flowers were mounted onto grey card that had been embossed using Spellbinders M-Bossabilities Dainty Dots and the sentiment is Waltzingmouse stamp set Compact Sentiments.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you join me again for another blog so until then take care.

TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF

Back today with a cheery card for a friend  that is not feeling too well so bright colours will hopefully put a smile on their face and will be off to put in the post tomorrow.

The flowers I made using Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies " Delicate Asters " which were stamped using Perfect Medium and then embossed in white.

The sentiment is from Kaisercraft Mini stamp set " Get Well" and then die cut using Spellbinders A2 Locking Loops and then to finish off the card randomly added drops of Cosmic Shimmer Vintage Pink PVA glue.

The colours were inspired by the fabulous challenge over at Color Throwdown this week.
Take care friends and back soon with another crafty blog post.

STAMPING WITH A DIFFERENCE

Hello and today a card stamped without a stamp and yes you did hear right as this is the challenge over at the friday mashup. At first I thought a crazy idea but now that I have tried it I will be using my stamp  blocks a lot more for blocking colour.

Using just one size of block I then picked a multi coloured ink pad for more effect and then placing them on the card in different directions.
Each square was cut using Spellbinders Classic Squares Small and then went round each edge with a Silver Marker pen. The lettering is Spellbinders Donna's Alphas which I cut from some fun foam which I love using and die cuts beautifully.

Very pleased with the result and thanks to the Friday Mashup I now have a whole set of new stanps to try out.
Thanks for stopping by and take care until the next time

A SUMMER COLOUR COMBO

Making up for lost crafting time so here is another card and this one is influenced by the colour combo over at color throw down 255 and a bit of a retro design.

For the pattern background I used That Special Touch Mask - Funky and coloured in with Promarkers. The flowers were cut from fum foam using Marianne Creatables die English Rose LR0 162.

The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse stamp set Fancy Phrases.

I really enjoyed using this colour combo and as always love seeing what other designs people come up with. Until the next time enjoy the rest of your  day.

colourQ challenge 202

Cheery Lynn die DL121 Sunflower

Inkssentials Glossy Accents
